Happy Thanksgiving!!

As this week is a holiday in America, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of you the happiest of Thanksgivings. Whether you live in the US or not, I am sure there are many ways the Lord has blessed your lives, and many things for you to give thanks over.

A Faith Perspective will be taking the week to celebrate. I look forward to seeing each of you right here, next week!!

Faithbuilder Friday

I just finished the best book: Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. Dang, this was a great book! She wrote this as a fictional book- sort of a Christian Romance. Really, it is a parable, though. It shows us, in a very hands on way, the lengths God goes to persue His Beloved...hey, that's us!! Definitely a recommended, read!

Chime in!

This week's page prompt was to scrap a page for your kids...what you pray for for their future spouses/marriages. So, the question, this week:

Do you pray for your child's future spouse's? Are you actively praying for the spouse that God will raise up- that He already has in mind for your child? (Not be name, but for their character, their faith, etc)?

Leave a comment, I would love to know!

I found the best blog...I love the eye candy, and the tutorials, too. But, I have a confession...I love the fact that she made me laugh. Several times. She is funny...don't believe me? Read until you can tell me about her 'muscles'. LOL!

Courtney- congrats, you are our Featured Blog of the Week! Thanks for being out there, providing a safe haven on the web...and shining His light while you do it!!

Page Prompt

Here's a different take on this month's theme: A Marriage of Ideals...do a page for your son or daughter. Tell them of the spouse and or marriage that you are praying for for them. Dream a dream, tell a prayer, use the page to instruct...so many ways you can go with this. Be sure to show us- I would love to see!!

Page Prompt

This week I want to encourage you to do something hard...something you may not want to. I want you to consider doing a page about a period when your marriage wasn't perfect. Maybe it was just a dry spell, maybe it was a conflict...whatever. I really believe we need to show the bad times with the good...the struggles with the highlights in our family albums---for a couple of reasons.

1) It's therapeutic for you to get it out, and prayerfully work through it with God's help and insight.

2) It is important for our family (read children, and perhaps the unchurched) to see that marriage- and a Christians life, in general, is not all romance and fairy tales.

So, please- give it a go...and show us what you come up with- I know I would be encouraged to see your pages!

Congrats, Gail, for being this week's Layout of the Week...drop me an email at ahouse@scrapbooknewsandreview.com and we'll get you set up for a month of SNR.
