Chime In

Last week's Chime In was so fun! I loved reading all of the comments and getting to know you all just a little better. I hope you will continue to play along, and comment. I know everyone else will enjoy getting to know you, too!!

This week's question: How old were you when you accepted Christ and were saved?

I was 19, and had just gone through a difficult time. After trying to do it alone, I turned to God.

I grew up in a pastor's home. At the age of 4 I realized I needed to accept Christ for my OWN personal Savior. After talking with Dad & Mom one night after church, but not getting saved, I went forward on a Wed. night and the visiting missionary's wife led me to the Lord.

I was baptized as an infant and grew up in a Christian home--a place of grace--but really gripped the concept of grace while in a Christian college, through a fantastic pastor who spoke about a personal relationship with Jesus. That's when I began to grow in faith. As I mature, I have felt more and more intentional about telling others about Jesus' saving love for all.

I was 34 when I walked through the doors of my first church. I knew I was home on that first visit. Although it has been a process, I 'officially' turned my life over to Jesus when I made the choice during a Bible study course to believe that His Word was completely true (which was not what was being taught in the study btw...)

I had the blessings of growing up in a wonderful Christian home. Although my father was a Baptist minister (full-time employment was a Counselor for Back to the Bible Broadcast)it wasn't a strict home and I never had boundries that I needed to push out of. I was saved at age 8 and baptized that same year.

I grew up in a non-practicing catholic home. I was baptised as a baby. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior when i was 12. I realized that I couldn't stay undecided.

I realised that God was real and I needed him in my life when I was 8 years old. Going to a Christian school and the church we went to helped me a lot in making that decision.

Hi there! I was almost 40 years old, which is so sad because I feel like there was so much wasted time. But I love the Lord and am having a great time making up for lost time!

I was 12 years old when I visited a friends church during a revival. While sittingin the pew and listening to the Gospel being preached, I realized that the religion I had grown up in was false and that I was hearing truth for the first time. I was saved that night and baptized a few weeks later. Within two years my entire family was saved. My father and father-in-law are retired pastors, my husband and brother are currently pastors, and my son is attending his third year at seminary. God is gracious! I'm passionately in love with Jesus my Savior!
